Shasta Secondary Home School

A “Personalized” Public Charter School

About

Shasta Secondary Home School - A “Personalized “ Learning Charter School that specializes in a curriculum that integrates many modalities of learning, thereby allowing the parent and student to choose from classes online, on campus, at Shasta Home School, regular high school campuses, and Shasta College.

Shasta Secondary Home School has been chartered by the Shasta Union High School District since August, 1999, and has received a six year WASC accreditation.

With a certificated staff of 15, and a classified staff of 4, the school has grown from 24 students to 258 as of June, 2005. This growth has allowed the school to purchase its own building consisting of offices, computer and science labs, multi-use classroom, and an ever expanding choice of on campus classes. With the introduction of the “Bridges” program for the 2006-07 school year, the school has solidified its program for students of all learning levels.

Shasta Secondary Home School’s administration, working with the State of California Department of Education, and the federal Department of Education, has met all of the requirements for each of its certificated staff in regards to the No Child Left Behind legislation.
